Dr. Brenner joined the company in September of 2006 as Senior Vice President and is also General Manager of AMAG's Imaging Franchise. While at AMAG, Dr. Brenner has lead the Feraheme® (ferumoxytol) Injection program including preparation and support of the New Drug Application to the FDA.

Prior to joining AMAG, Dr. Brenner worked as Senior Director of Business Development for the Renal and Transplantation Units at Genzyme Corporation.

Dr. Brenner received a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Yale University; a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University and a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Dr. Brenner is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and cares for patients with chronic kidney disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He is also a Director of PLC Medical Systems, Inc., and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Kidney Foundation Division serving New England.
