Joseph L. Farmer joined the Company as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs in 2005. He has substantial expertise in the areas of corporate and securities law and has represented numerous public and private companies in a variety of industries, including high technology, healthcare, manufacturing, life sciences and private equity. He has extensive experience counseling companies on general corporate law matters, complex financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate governance, and technology protection and transfer. Mr. Farmer currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Farmer was an associate in the business practice group of Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP in Boston from 1997 to 2005.

Mr. Farmer received his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Boston University and his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
