Visually Disruptive, Three Dimensional Rose Vulva Promoting
Vaginal Health and Wellness Recognized for Cutting Edge Approach
AMAG Pharmaceuticals, together with its agency partner, Marina Maher Communications received a SABRE Innovation award from the Holmes Report on February 13, 2018, for the Health in Bloom interactive rose sculpture at the 2017 American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Meeting. The SABRE awards recognize public relations programs that represent Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation & Engagement.
Women’s Health in Bloom specifically won an Innovation SABRE which spotlights the specific components of a campaign that make it cutting edge. AMAG’s sculpture was designed to spark conversation on vaginal health and wellness. It is recognized as one of the most heavily trafficked exhibits in ACOG history.
“More than 50 percent of ACOG attendees visited our Health in Bloom Installation, an unforgettable, hand-crafted rose vulva made from more than 16,000 live roses,” said Nik Grund, chief commercial officer at AMAG. “We are proud that this thought provoking display made a strong statement on AMAG’s commitment to women’s sexual health.”
As part of the Health in Bloom Experience, a donation was made to ACOG’s Women’s Health Fund on behalf of each attendee who interacted with the sculpture. This fund helps to address issues of maternal mortality and morbidity and to improve women’s health globally. AMAG also sponsored an ACOG reception honoring medical students which leveraged the rose theme.
