AMAG’s Kathryn Payne Joins MassBio® Board of Directors

AMAG Pharmaceuticals is pleased to announce that Kathryn Payne, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, has been appointed to the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio) board of directors. Founded in 1985, MassBio is a not-for-profit organization that represents and provides services and support for more than 1,000 organizations involved in life sciences and healthcare in Massachusetts.

“AMAG is focused on improving patients’ lives through clinical research, education and support programs,” said Ms. Payne. “I am honored to join MassBio’s board and look forward to joining my industry colleagues to advance the life sciences industry in Massachusetts, and beyond, so we can find new and better ways to improve the health of patients and families.”

More than 40 individuals representing emerging start-ups to established organizations across the life science industry comprise the MassBio board of directors. The board guides the vision and strategy of MassBio’s day-to-day operations, from networking to the purchasing consortium to policy advocacy.
